Ferries are still broken, so I ended up getting in to work half an hour late today (see earlier post, but less lucky).

I decided to use the time to get a train ticket up to Leeds for the weekend, to save time tomorrow, and ended up breaking their printer and causing a big backlog of people trying to get tickets for the next ferry.

On the plus side, I got my Good Deed for the Day done: I found someone getting off the ferry who had three big heavy bags and a bike to manage, so I carried two of them to her car for her (about half a mile away, but not hugely off my route).

Then on arriving at work I found we had an internal meeting with Danish pastries laid on, so being late didn't matter and I got a bit of breakfast into the bargain.

Was dancing tonight. Slightly irritated by that, as I'm out all weekend and this uses up kit that would otherwise be clean for the weekend. However:

- It was a Beer Festival, with 40 beers and free drinks for the dancers;
- It was also a Sausage Festival, with 20 types of sausage available for tasting and learned debate over the merits of;
- We had 12 dancers, allowing 2 sides up for the first time since God knows when.

DOES IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS?

What a nice evening.

For the record, the Sausage Festival was won by the Beef and Apricot sausages. I didn't particularly rate them, preferring the Beef and Stilton, the Pork and Leek and the Pork and Bacon. All were pretty damn good, though - good solid meat, no rusk or indecipherable bits.

Note for those coming to WFrag 2006: Farmer's Jack's in Arreton has all these sausages for sale. I shall be sure to lay in a decent supply, so long as someone reminds me to do so. We may not even need pizza.

The one remaining original large bell fell off while doing Skirmishes. It was retrieved, and has now been replaced.
