"Why does everyone I need to talk to seem to be on holiday this week?!?"  I rant at a colleague. "I can't get anything done!!"

"It's half term" she replies.

We had half-term last week and all the half term activities are this week.

Still trying to wrap my head around why the school thought that was a good idea.

I've always thought that one of the worst things about being a teacher must be that you have to take your holidays during school holidays.
