I'm organising a trip for St Malo in a couple of weeks' time, taking about 30 morris people from 5 teams across to perform at the Festival du Monde, which should be very good fun - even if I don't know what it is.

I've been corresponding with a chap in St Malo who's organising the festival but speaks no English, and so as I speak very little French I've been using Babelfish to translate his emails and to write mine (though I do sense-check mine using my GCSE French).

It occurred to me today to retranslate some of the emails I've sent him into English.

According to one I sent a little while ago:

"We would like to also make small executions around the Saturday city and Sunday when you do not need us for the formal parades or executions."

I must remember to take my black cap.

Hee! Babelfish is great fun. I suggest taking the lyrics of your favorite song, translating it into French, translating the French into German, and then back to English. See then if you can even recognize what you get. :-)
