My employer has just said that I can go off for my Christmas holidays as of now :-)

Unfortunately, they don't want me to come back :-(

But I should be getting a nice big tax-free Christmas present :-)

Ho hum. I knew it was asking for trouble when I put a slide on "How to manage redundancies effectively" in that pack of ideas for reacting to the credit crunch... ;-)

That's tough and more than a little surprising - the impression I got from our Tax people was that South Tax were short at D-grade level. I hadn't heard any mutterings of Tax redundancies. I know a senior manager in IT Advisory who's going though.
