That looks like a lot of people when listed like that! We might need to put the big tent up again this year, for al fresco board gaming (then hope it doesn't rain the way it rained last year.)

Could we give Madden NFL '08 on the Wii a go? Specifically its four-player co-op mode where one player is the quarterback, one is the running back and two are receivers and everyone uses the Wii remote to control their player.

If the weather is reasonable, I may bring my popup tent, for the evening when I am desperate to sleep and much of the party is set for a good 3 hours more of gaming and wants the library. Popup Tent needs little space and should easily fit in a corner away from the Big Tent.

Did it rain last year? I don't remember it raining. Obviously I didn't go to the mythical place they call 'outside' :-D

If we do put up a big tent, it will be our own one this time, not that big pavilion borrowed from the scouts. It will have a large open area for game-playing, but also has a sealed-off sleeping compartment, so you could go in there, if you wanted. (Though of course you're welcome to bring your own tent.) I seem to remember that the last brave souls who tried camping in the garden were kept awake by the sound of cats hauling themselves up the fence with their claws, so ear plugs might be advisable.

Last couple of times, though, the bulk of the party has mostly drifted to bed by midnight, and the last few hardcore players (usually Pellinor, Chainmailmaiden and Bethran) have ended up squeezed into Pellinor's room, quietly killing each other until 3.

Glad you think we were quiet! I always worry I'll disturb people by swearing too loudly when I get run over for the nth time :-D

I don't remember the cats being noisy when we camped, but maybe I just ignored them.

We are definitely coming to WightFrag. We plan to arrive around Saturday 1-ish, and leave on Monday 1-ish. (In fact, how does getting the 1.45 Red Jet sound?)

We're stopping in a B&B.

The 1.45 Red Jet normally sounds a little noisier than the 1.15 or the 2.15, as Red Jet 4 is the quietest vessel and tends to run at xx.15 from Southampton.

If you're arriving in Cowes at about 2.10 then we should be able to arrange a pick-up for you. Give us a call to confirm, though.

I was actually meaning the Red Jet back from Cowes to Southampton - we are going to book a taxi from there to Heathrow. Which are the quieter ones that way? Is the xx.15 departure from Southampton the xx.45 departure from Cowes? And if so, would us leaving on the 1.45 departure suit you?

Yes, it's a half-hour turnaround. The 1.45 would be fine for us - probably around the time most people will be leaving.
