End of week maths test
Apr. 5th, 2007 01:11 pmMessrs Marks and Spencer own a shop. They are very nice men, if a little weak at arithmetic.
King Pellinor wants to buy some plates from their shop. He goes in looking for two plates, but notices that there is a doubly special offer on: some nice plates which are normally sold at £2 each are on "three for the price of two" as well as "20% off". So he buys nine plates.
How much should Messrs Marks and Spencer charge for these nine plates?
