Of Straw Bears and courtrooms

I went to see the Straw Bear at Whittlesey and had a very nice time. Among other things I got (roughly in order, though some are passim):

- to lead three processions without having to be boring and dance the same way as everyone else
- a promise of a hobby horse
- caught up in a mumming play
- a kiss - from a 6-foot-plus morris man with a big red beard and red facepaint :-(
- slightly tipsy
- all the way though Nutting Girl Bampton on only the second attempt (musician didn't know the tune, nothing to do with me :-) ) in between the tables of the pub we were eating in
- told off for nearly spilling lots of drinks
- sore fingers
- told I am cute (by someone who was probably rather drunk at the time, but I plead in vino veritas)
- told to sing more quietly
- gatecrashed out of my own personal display dance spot by LadyofAstolat's team, who had rather unreasonably assumed that when the organiser said to me "you're on fifth" that it applied to them simply because I had asked on their behalf and had no intention of doing any dancing myself :-)
- sore legs

In other news:
- I have been Summoned to Court, but only as a juror
- My dead LARP character is now alive again, assuming that the priestess doesn't cock up the ritual
